Summer Drop-in Tennis @ Washington Park in Denver - Every Monday!
The CWTF has once again partnered with Denver Parks &
Rec to offer FREE wheelchair tennis clinics & drop in tennis for all CWTF
members in 2010.
From 5:30pm-7:00pm on MONDAY NIGHTS, 3 courts are reserved
for wheelchair tennis with a ball machine on 1 court and volunteers to help
toss & shag balls on the other 2 courts. If you are a beginner or new to
the game, this is the best place to come out and improve your game. If you are
experienced or an advanced player, this is a great place to challenge yourself
on the ball machine and play pick up matches against other players.
The entrance to the central Washington Park tennis courts is
at the intersection of Franklin & Mississippi. Accessible parking spots are
available.
The Summer 2010 drop-in dates are: 6/14, 6/21, 6/28, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23 & 8/30
For those of you who can't make it for the 5:30-7 session,
the CWTF encourages you to show up at the courts around 6:45 and stake your
claim to a court or two before the session ends at 7. You can then stay and
play drop-in tennis under the lights as long as you can keep pushing your chair
and swinging a racquet.
All you need to play for free is a $15 CWTF membership. This
is a great deal for a lot of tennis!
